Meet the Business Liaison Team, who are based at Woking Borough Council and support the Woking Works partnership.

Chris Norrington

After ten years as general manager of H.G. Wells Conference Centre, Chris also became Business Liaison Manager in November 2015, drawing on his many and varied local connections to strengthen the Woking Works brand. Chris is also leading on Woking's Digital strategy.

If you are interested in becoming a future Woking Works partner or supporter, would like your estate agency included in the portal or are considering relocating your business to Woking, please contact Chris directly.

Riette Thomas

Business Liaison Officer and Programme Manager for Celebrate Woking

Over the past five years, Riette has grown the Celebrate Woking programme from part of the Olympic celebrations into a cultural extravaganza and calendar of legacy events, including the 2016 celebration of H.G. Wells' anniversary. The programme's two key events, Party in the Park and the Woking Food & Drink Festival, a vibrant event that brings an international flavour to the town, attracted more than 200,000 people last year.

If you'd like to get involved in any of the Celebrate Woking events or community projects, why not drop Riette a line?

Since 2009, Laura has been involved with the borough's Economic Development Strategy and business events. She also oversees external communications on behalf of the team, and contributes to local publications. Recent projects have included the prestigious TEDxWoking.
