Enter your business for the Queen's Award for Enterprise 2017

Next month, the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2017 winners will be recognised ata reception held at Buckingham Palace, hosted by Her Majesty The Queen.

Past winners have included Woking-based business Sesame Access Systems Ltd in Byfleet, which won The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation last year.

Woking Works is keen to see more Woking businesses succeeding in prestigious awards schemes like this, and can offer help and advice  to any local firms that are interested in taking part.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of:

  • innovation
  • international trade
  • sustainable development
  • promoting opportunity through social mobility.

As well as being invited to a Royal reception, winners are able to fly The Queen’s Award flag at their main office, and use the emblem on marketing materials like packaging, advertisements, stationery and websites.

The awards are valid for 5 years, and past winners have reported benefiting from worldwide recognition, increased commercial value, greater press coverage and a boost to staff morale

Your organisation can be business or non-profit to participate.

The deadline for commercial entries is 1 September, with a further two weeks until the deadline for entries in the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
