Woking welcomes Carluccio’s

Woking Borough Council is pleased to announce Carluccio's as the latest leading restaurant to join its rapidly growing retail and leisure offer. Carluccio's is opening a 161 cover restaurant, food shop and deli on the newly pedestrianised Commercial Way, which leads to Peacocks and Wolsey Place Shopping Centres.

Carluccio's will open in November this year and works are already underway to create its new site.

Commenting on their move to Woking, Simon Kossoff, Carluccio's Chief Executive, said: "We look forward to the opening of Carluccio's in Woking later this year and hope the new restaurant will be as successful as our six other Surrey locations. Woking Town Centre is undergoing an extensive refurbishment and we are excited to be a part of the plans."

Cllr John Kingsbury, Leader of Woking Borough Council, added: "I am both delighted and very excited that Carluccio's is joining Woking Shopping's dining offer. Their combination of restaurant, shop and deli, combined with al fresco dining in a specially created location, means they bring something quite different to Woking. Along with our existing cafés, restaurants and bars, including the forthcoming Tante Marie Culinary Academy, Woking Shopping has a catering offer that is high quality, comprehensive, and appealing to residents and visitors alike."

The news follows the recent announcement that renowned cookery school Tante Marie Culinary Academy is to relocating to Woking Town Centre, featuring a restaurant and training theatre across two floors in the newly refurbished Alexander House. Alexander House will also be the newly refurbished global headquarters of the largest theatre company in the world, Ambassador Theatre Group.
