Araceli says “bienvenido a mi casa” as first restaurant opens

Araceli's, Woking's popular authentic Mexican street food trader has opened its first restaurant in Commercial Way, Woking, with support from Woking Borough Council.

Serving great tasting home-cooked Mexican food with authentic flavours using fresh local ingredients, Araceli's has become a lunch-time hit with office workers and visitors seeking a real taste of Mexican street food, since first opening in September 2011.

Restaurant owner, Araceli Luke, said; "It's been a long time coming, but we are delighted to be able to finally open our very first restaurant in Woking. Here at Aracelis were passionate about bringing a real taste of Mexico to Woking. We offer a wide variety of burritos, tacos and nachos, all served with our delicious fillings and salsas made from scratch by my team and I from authentic family recipes. We have it on good authority that our burritos are better than any you can find in London. If you don't believe us, come and try!"

Originally located in Woking's former market, Araceli's has now leased a commercial unit from Woking Borough Council. Last year, the family-run business received tailored advice and support through the Council's Start Up Woking scheme, which through it's partnership, Barlow Robbins and Menzies, offers free business support for ambitious entrepreneurs and growing businesses.

Cllr Gary Elson, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, said; "It's great to see an ambitious entrepreneur grow their already successful business. With Araceli's moving in to Commercial Way, the pedestrianised street is developing a reputation for tasty, delicious food from around the world. We wish them every success and I look forward to tasting their delicious Mexican street food very soon!"
