Steps2Work, part of Surrey Care Trust, provides holistic mentoring support to 18-24yr olds within the Woking area, in supporting them in seeking and sustaining further education or employment.
Steps2Work is part of Surrey Care Trust and is a project funded by Department of Work and Pensions and Woking Borough Council to support 18-24year olds within the Woking area who are experiencing barriers or challenges in seeking sustainable employment or further education. Steps2Work provides each individual with a 1-1 mentor who will meet with them weekly to discuss their goals and support them holistically on their journeys into employment/training/education.
We recruit volunteer mentors who join the Steps2Work team, they are given full day of training by the team in becoming a mentor to then support the young adults and the team in achieving results. The work of our volunteer mentors in invaluable to the success of the project.
