Florence’s role is to talk to businesses and organisations in the region to get an up-to-date picture of how current economic developments are affecting business conditions, and what concerns our contacts have. In turn, the Agents summarise the business conditions they are seeing for the UK to help inform the MPC of developments on the ground. After a new monetary policy decision is taken, Florence’s role is also to explain this decision to businesses and organisations in the region.
