TEDxWoking will take place on Friday 6 December, from 9.30am to 12.30pm at WWF-UK’s Living Planet Centre in Woking.
Speakers must be available on this date, ideally for the duration of the event.
Applicants are invited to supply by email a brief synopsis of their proposed talk (c.100 words) and biography (c.40 words) by 5pm on Monday 10 June 2019.
The TEDxWoking steering group will review the applications and shortlist 10 by applying the speaker criteria. Shortlisted applicants will hear if they have been successful in making it to the audition stage between 11 and 17 June.
As part of the pre-event evaluation process, shortlisted speakers are required to attend an audition on Wednesday 3 July at the H.G. Wells Conference and Events Centre, with the TEDxWoking steering group.
A compulsory rehearsal and final feedback session will also be held in late September/ early October , in order to finalise the programme.
The steering group retains the right to substitute speakers of the programme up to the day of the event, where it believes that speakers are insufficiently prepared to deliver their talk to the standard required by TED.
