Now two years on from the Brexit decision and more than a year after the government triggered article 50, British and EU negotiators will begin to meet to discuss the UK’s future trade ties.

Surrey Chamber of Commerce are back hosting another breakfast looking to visit some of the new challenges businesses are facing, and a practical guide to what businesses should be doing and thinking about now the negotiations begin.


Mike Spicer - British Chamber of Commerce
Mike joined the BCC in February 2011 and became Director of Research and Economics in January 2014. He directs the BCC's policy research and survey programme. Mike represents the BCC externally on business policy and matters relating to local economic development.

Before coming to BCC, Mike spent over five years as an economist and in senior research and strategy roles at the East of England Development Agency (EEDA). Prior to EEDA, Mike worked as an economist and econometrician at the forecasting house Cambridge Econometrics and property services company Jones Lang LaSalle.

Oliver Geidt - KPMG
Oliver co-manages KPMG's Brexit Strategic Intelligence team. His role is to understand the Brexit process and obtain insight on what is really going on. He has been involved in KPMG’s Brexit work since the referendum and regularly speaks at Brexit events and conferences.

Oliver previously worked as an analyst at the US State Department where he specialised in Russian-European relations. He left to complete an MA in Intelligence and International Security and then started working in the private corporate intelligence sector, joining KPMG in 2014.
