As a part time Health Care Assistant with Astor Care you will be visiting people in their own homes. You will see regular clients across the Woking area close to where you live but you will need your own car to travel between them.
Duties vary between clients but may include: helping them to wash, dress, make a simple meal, tidy up, take medication, go out to the shops or to appointments.
We provide training prior to starting if you are new to care. This is a mixture of on-line and in house training and you are paid for this. This should be completed over 2 weeks prior to starting along with a successful interview, satisfactory references and a DBS check.
Hours vary between all our carers and are agreed at interview but we generally ask for some weekend or early evening availability as our clients need support from breakfast to bedtime seven days a week. We work very hard to try and match work to the regular availability you provide us with.
Helping to keep people safe and happy in their own homes provides a great sense of personal satisfaction and is a big plus for people working in care.
