Budget - Pro business?

Simon Massey, Menzies LLP Tax Partner, says “Overall the Budget was pro business, with corporation tax rates falling and a new NIC break for firms that gives them a £2000 employment allowance from April 2014. However, the economy is stagnant with low growth and it is hoped that the £3 billion of capital investment and the various incentives to the housing industry will kick start activity in an important sector of the economy.”

The main summary of this year's budget can be found at http://goo.gl/JLFWu Menzies have broken the summary down into the main areas of taxation, including business and corporate, employment, personal and capital. They have also included comments on the more important changes, together with any planning points that may arise.
