Woking Food and Drink Festival is set to add some flavour to the Borough

Initial plans for the first Woking Food and Drink Festival have recently been promoted by the Council. Food lovers are set to be treated to a tantalising fusion of local food and drink when the first-ever festival bursts into Woking Town Centre, from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 September 2013!

This sizzling new event will be held in the newly refurbished Jubilee Square and will feature up to 50 local food and drink stalls and a purpose-built, professional cookery demonstration stage, which will host live demonstrations by a range of locally acclaimed chefs and food providers.

The al-fresco event aims to showcase the very best of Woking's diverse food producers and eateries as well as specialist food producers from across the region. During the course of the weekend, residents and visitors will be able to tuck in to food and drink samples and taster plates from across the globe.

Adding the `icing on the cake' will be roaming entertainment and live music, and special offers and children's activities in Peacocks and Wolsey Place Shopping Centres, provided courtesy of Woking Shopping.
