Start ups succeed on board the bus

On Thursday 15 November 2016 the NatWest Start Up bus parked up in Jubilee Square to offer advice to fledgling businesses in Woking. Representatives from the Woking Works business liaison team and experts from the Woking Works partners Arcom IT, Barlow Robbins Solicitors, Hamlyns Chartered Accountants, NatWest and Something Big were on hand to talk with all arrivals.

Chris Norrington, Business Liaison Manager, said:

“We had enquiries from people at many different stages of the business cycle, from those with just the germ of an idea, to those already trading. These included a company looking at virtual reality training, a software developer and an engineering firm.

“The bus offered a way for people to come and talk to us without an appointment, particularly if they were not quite ready to make a formal request for funding. Ten new businesses are now on the road to potential success.”

The bus is due to visit again in Spring 2017.
