Foundations Estate Agents’ £11,000 donation to hospice care
Woking and Sam Beare Hospices has received a generous £11,000 donation from Woking independent estate agents Foundations, as part of their continued partnership and support during 2016. The funds will go towards the charity’s work providing end-of-life care to more than 1,400 people each year, in both the hospice setting and in the community, and providing on-going support to relatives.
Foundations’ directors Les Morales and Gero Arnone presented the cheque to Claire Coldicott, Head of Community and Corporate Fundraising at Woking and Sam Beare Hospices. Les Morales said; ‘We are really lucky to have such an amazing organisation on our doorstep. My mother worked there so I understand the difference their care can make to the whole family when someone is ill, and I’m happy to support the good work that they do.’
Claire Caldicott said; ‘We are delighted to receive such a large cheque from Foundations. These funds will provide more than 20 days’ vital specialist care for patients and their families as they experience the most difficult times. We are also very pleased that Foundations will be continuing their support during 2017’.
Woking and Sam Beare Hospices will be opening its brand new hospice in Goldsworth Park in Woking during the Spring. Its 20 spacious, modern and superbly equipped rooms, each with their own balcony, will provide patients with a calming and comfortable environment. The new premises will also enable the hospice team to provide a greater range of holistic support to those requiring care, and their families.
