Knaphill's new homeware and hardware store gets ‘great response’ from public

KNAPHILL has a new homeware and hardware store.

Trafalgar Homeware opened recently at 34 High Street to a warm reception.

“We are a friendly, family-run business that aims to become a one-stop local shop for the people of Knaphill and surrounding areas,” said managing director Caroline Kelly.

“Our new store offers homeware and hardware products to trade and retail customers.

“We have had an excellent response from Knaphill residents. Local people have said we are a handy shop to have in the area and are glad we offer services too, especially key cutting.

“The shop also offers a locksmith service along with plumbing, electrical and building and general maintenance services.

“We also offer an affordable range of kitchen equipment such as air fryers, blenders, kettles and toasters, and a garden range of products including soil and plants.

“We have strong links with different trades so will partner with these to offer services people can trust.”

Caroline’s background is in teaching and she worked in primary education for more than 16 years.

“I also owned and ran a nursery in Streatham, London, since 2016, which was sold earlier this year. I have worked in education for more than 30 years but decided a change of career would be good so I decided to invest in a retail shop.

“My husband owns and runs Trafalgar Lock and Key, a locksmith in Waterloo in central London, so we wanted to be an extension of this business but offer different products and a range of extra services.

“We moved to Longcross in 2021 from Worcester Park, Kingston, and wanted to build a more local business.

“That’s why we chose Knaphill. It’s only 15 minutes by car from where we live.”
