Training to fill the skills gap in construction

The ESF-funded project Technical Construction Skills for the Unemployed offers training courses across the EM3 LEP area in north Hampshire and Surrey.

This free training is for anyone who wants to get into the construction industry, or is looking for support in developing their skills such as English, Maths or English as a second language (ESOL).

Courses take place in at Guildford College on the the following dates

  • 13- 22 June 2022

Technical Construction Skills for the Unemployed – Course dates

If you’re not sure about whether construction is for you, these construction focused employability courses can help you decide! To be eligible you must be over 18 and unemployed (students are eligible).

  • All courses are SWAPS and include CSCS card (except *S2C—Step Towards Construction)
  • Guaranteed interview opportunity with each SWAP
  • *S2C is a construction focused employability course. It introduces people to the construction industry as well as equipping them with transferable skills for any job.
  • Childcare support is available (stc).
